Morgana’s first DocuMaster in America
Roughly one year ago DPI of Gloucester, NJ traded in their manually fed Morgana KwickFold and purchased the DocuMaster. A fully automated finishing system that not only produces booklets, but pre-creases the sheets and can also be used as a straight creasing machine, a perforator or a creaser folder for 4pp brochures. The books come off flat with a square perfect bound looking stitched spine.
DPI is a high quality trade shop located in Southern New Jersey. They produce products for both national and local customers. The majority of their work is short run (average run length 1,000). They specialize in catalogs, news letters and associated collateral material. Their work is produced on A Xerox DocuColor 8000.
Mr. Nelson Riley owner of DPI states that their customers are the #1 focus for DPI and as his customers “love the look” of the books created on the Documaster. The machine helps them continue toward the company goal of, customer first.
With its ease of use and versatility coupled with the quality of service and support given by the local Morgana dealer (Brett Graphics), as well as the fact that DPI has been running a Morgana DigiFold for some time and feels it is the best piece of production equipment in his shop, he knew purchasing the DocuMaster was the right decision for his operation.
Nelson stated that the presentation quality that he produces on the machine has helped to bring in new and additional business to the point where they are now getting ready to purchase an IGEN to help with their increased work load.
Nelson tells a story of one of his trade customers whose booklet maker was down. They were refusing a job that DPI produced on the DocuMaster because the quality and look of the finished book was too good. His customer explained that if he sent these on, the end user would want to know why his previous jobs did not have this level of quality and would expect it every time!
