Autocreaser - Fineline
“Not only are we pleased with the performance of the equipment, we were also very impressed by all the assistance and technical support we received from Morgana – so much so that we have nominated the company for the BAPC’s ‘Supplier of the Year’ award.”
Alec Sharples, Fineline Print
Fineline Print of Ruthin, Denbighshire has invested in a Morgana AutoCreaser and DocuFold to finish colour and black and white digital output.
Established twelve years ago to provide a high street quickprint service, Fineline’s operations have evolved from offset into digital print, to a point where 60% of output is now digital. The move into digital print – based on a DocuColor 2000 and several Océ machines – has worked well for the company but, initially, as director Alec Sharples explains, it did bring with it some problems at the finishing end.
“We were having great difficulty with cracking when folding digital work,” says Alec “so we visited IPEX to see which suppliers were addressing the problem.” The solution came with a visit to the Morgana stand and the subsequent purchase of the AutoCreaser and the DocuFold. The former solved the cracking problem, while the latter provided Fineline with highly automated folding with ease of set up and the ability to memorise settings for repeat work.
